Physiotherapy

A physiotherapist is a university-trained health care professional who is a certified member of the Ordre des physiothérapeutes du Québec. With a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, the physiotherapist uses this specialty to treat clients with musculoskeletal disorders, neurological impairments, or other physiological problems, including sprains, tendinopathies, herniated discs, post-operation follow-up, etc. The goal of the physiotherapist is to provide the necessary treatments and tools to their clients to allow them to fully enjoy their daily activities and reach their full potential. 

Following an initial assessment, the physiotherapist will develop a treatment plan that meets the specific needs of their client. Different treatment modalities are possible depending on the needs, such as manual techniques, rehabilitation exercises, electrotherapy, thermotherapy or vestibular rehabilitation (vertigo).
